Flapjacks is a common name of this South African native, Kalanchoe thyrsiflora.
Before I left home the forecast for the Moab area was for highs in the 60’s. Fortunately, I had cold weather gear and slum gullion in aluminum foil packets!

It was pleasant to walk among the pinons and junipers at Canyonlands N.P. A clear space like this allowed for a nice picture of a group of trees. It’s one of the few pictures I have taken that works well as either an 2×3 format or cropped to a wide 3×10.
Main Street is curved, roughly parallel to the river. You have to get up early to get a picture like this without cars.
This building in Galena is the second oldest continuously owned and operated Post Office in the country.
