There is an exhibit of Baron Wolman’s photography at Lawrence Arts Center. He was the original photographer for Rolling Stone magazine from 1967 through 1970. For each cover displayed, there is also a print of the image that the cover was made from, and a print of the contact sheet of several shots of the musician that the cover was selected from.
Uncle Bob passed away on 8/14/11. I miss him and the cowboy life that he lived. It was genuine. I guess this picture was taken about 20 years ago. One thing he was famous for was the corn roast at his place. He tucked a plot of sweet corn in with the field corn, then at the peak of ripeness, had everybody over while he prepared the corn in a fire pit.
